Nightstrike's Reviews: Transformers Exiles (2/3)

Transformers Exiles, again by Alex Irvine, continues where Exodus left off. I'm not going to spoil the book if you haven't read the first one, but I will mention that things are not as they seem.

Characters such as Makeshift and Nexus Prime finally get character development, though there are some rather curious things, such as . . . what actually happened to Makeshift? Seriously, how did he escape? And why did they kill him off in Prime?

The book cycles between several different settings and introduces the Star Seekers, who are oddly enough led by Thundertron, instead of Cannonball. Velocitron is quite reminiscent of the Cybertron/Galaxy Force cartoon, while not going too over the top. Junkion is similar to the planet from the original Sunbow cartoon, but is treated more as a wasteland, rather than an official planet. Relics from the Thirteen Primes also make appearances, but to tell you, would spoil a portion of the book.

Like Exodus, I highly recommend this, but of course, you'll have to read Exodus first!

Overall Rating: 4.5/5
